What portable software you use?
Write here lists of portable software you use.. We continually check for new software to improve the Suite!
Launchy
I use Lanuchy and I think it would be a great program to have in the suite. It also has a portable mode.

Re: What portable software you use?
I Joined your forum just to give my list, as I feel that the lupo pensuite could use many more apps... So, here goes!
Aida32, Sysinfo
Asquared Emergency, Antivirus
CDburnerXP
Coolplayer+
Crystalmark
Dosboxportable (how could you say no?)
Edit pad lite
Eraser portable
eTextreader
Filenavigator
Freemind
Hoversnap
Indexyourfiles
Kalender
Kompozer
Libra
Lightscreen
Nexusfile5
Peazip
Pidgin
Pnotes
MVregclean
celestra
python
scirbus
Reganalyser
Restoration
Skype
Spybot search and destroy
SyncExp
Testdisk
TightVNC
UIcleaner
Unknowndevices
What is transfering
WinDirStat
WinMerge
X-avidemux
Xenon portable
XeroBank
All those apps require folders, the following are single files:
Anim8tor
Avastcleaner
Blootoothview
Bootbuild
Driverview
EjectUSB
Free Drweb
f-secure portable
HDspeed
ipscan
Lupas rename
Omziff
PC decrapifier
RockXP
Smsniff
SP2004
Spacemonger
Startuplist
Stinger1001
Tabbycalc
Tabbyfile
Tinyresmetter
unetbootin (installs linux distros)
Wildreplace
Winauditu
Window's in a box
Wireless netview
Yamipod
Wikiinabox (HTML file)
And the entire Sysinternals suite
That being said, I think the entire Asuite layout could use a rework. Also, I think it should be modified to open web links with the browser installed on the flash drive, instead of the one on the computer. More web services should be included as well, I mean only google docs and Zoho? Plenty more good ones out there!
I also have DamnSmallLinux installed on it, thought I had mintlinux on it before. Too heavy for me. Good luck with your Suite, and, PS: It'd be awesome if you had somewhere where we could check the additional apps we wanted, and download them all at once, with an installer for the drive!

Re: What portable software you use?
Thank you for all your advices. Can you recommend me some useful web links you think we may add in the suite?
Re: What portable software you use?
OK, I'm actually going to finish modifying my version, and then I'll upload my .xml file for you to see somewhere, OK? I expect it to take less then a week. I don't really want to type in so many names again...

Some of those apps aren't open source.
And others are already on the site. Just not in the full suite.

Re: What portable software you use?
Hmm... I wasn't aware only open source software was allowed... That makes a lot of things different...
Anyway, I've got about all the links I use on my suite.
Here's the file. I'm sure you all know how to swipe it into your suite to see it's contents.

Re: What portable software you use?
Are allowed also freeware software (not only open source)..
I'm checking the list and try that software. Many of them are already included in our additional apps list, some good apps.. some others couldn't be redistribuited. Anyway thanks for all advices

Re: What portable software you use?
They are shareware games and probably also not authorized distributions, thanks but we don't want this kind of software in the project
Re: What portable software you use?
Some days ago I found a software called Q-Dir

Maybe a good option to be in File Manager section with FreeCommander

Re: What portable software you use?
Yes, it's a good application. We will test it, but FreeCommander is very powerful (and with a longer history, that makes it more stable and complete).. and we don't want to add too many apps to the Suite..

A couple I'm looking for, and a few I use
Looking for a couple of apps:
a free bookmark manager, something like Linkman Lite. I want a browser-independent link manager with a good tree structure and tag search, rather than a browser synchronizer. I like Linkman but can't seem to make it totally portable (If you can figure out how, I'd like to hear from you too).
a launcher like 8start, I would like to store machine-specific apps in a tabbed structure, so I can click on the "work" tab and have access to common apps on my work computer, with drive-specific paths. A consistent way of launching apps on any machine I have routine access to.
Some other apps I use:
"Hex Editor XVI32" XVI32.exe
"PyScripter" PyScripter.exe
"AutoIt v3 Script" AutoIt3.exe
"HEXelon MAX" hexelon.exe (calculator)
"Wings3D" Wings3D.exe (3-d modeler)
"SpaceMonger" SpaceMonger.exe (drive space visualizer)
Music Studio Producer (Frieve) "Musicstd" Musicstd.exe (Midi sequencer)
(Not sure all these are strictly portable, you might need to move some dll's etc. )
Anyway, not suggesting that they should be included in the suite, just a heads-up if anyone finds them useful.

Re: What portable software you use?
Thank you for your post, I'm testing some of these apps
As bookmark manager there isn't a really powerful software, even if it will be a very useful tool in particular for portable browsers. You can try this http://gettransmute.com/ ..even if I never used it.
For the launcher, I don't exactly understand what you need. You can try this new emergent software http://app.etizer.org/
