Autorunning the Suite revisited
autorun is/was a vulnerabilty in Windows that M$ dubbed "critical" in XP but only "Important" in Vista. The patch to fix it disabled the autorun feature in XP.
I was irritated, to say the least, since I use autorun to launch a batch file to start LupoPenSuite, AIRoboform and the Portableapps.com suite. The workaround for me is to manually start the batch file.
Autoplay seems to work fine. Which surprises me as I thought it would have the same vulnerability as autorun. Is it possible to add an option to the autoplay to workaround the autorun problem?

Re: Autorunning the Suite revisited
We can consider to use this feature, but it seems to use the registry, isn't it?
If you know how we can improve the autorun or how to use the autoplay features, write it here. Any advice is welcome and help to improve the project.

Re: Autorunning the Suite revisited
You can add this code at the end of autorun.ini,
to get a better way to start easily your applications :
You can make as menu as you want.

Re: Autorunning the Suite revisited
I'm not an expert of this commands, but I'd like to understand what they do if I implement them.. What this code do?
Re: Autorunning the Suite revisited
When you do a right-clic on the USB Key Icon, you've got a menu (ope, open wtih, extract, create a shortcut...)
This code add an item in this menu, and you can custom the action.
For my exemple, it's a simple item menu which start LupoPS, it allows you to start it without enter in the key

Re: Autorunning the Suite revisited
I tried to implement it, but doesn't work. It works only on XP system? (I use Vista)
Re: Autorunning the Suite revisited
I dont think so...
It's with a batch, and this is a basic language, all Windows versions must implements it :/
Honnestly I don't understand why it doesn't work

Re: Autorunning the Suite revisited
This is the autorun I used:
Try it and say me if it works or not on your PC.
- Code:
[autorun]
action=Start Lupo PenSuite
open=Start.exe
icon=Start.exe
label=Lupo PenSuite
shell\launch\command=Start.exe
shell\launch=Launch &Lupo PenSuite
Try it and say me if it works or not on your PC.
